The art of photography is taking an image and composing it in a way that conveys the story you are telling. With a wedding, it is capturing all of the different details of the day as well as those in between moments when the couple thinks you aren’t looking 🙂 A portrait session is a […]
As a kid, I always loved going outside and exploring the world around me. This is even true today! I love to travel and explore new places. Getting that chance to explore Kentucky was one of these times that was thrilling and left me awestruck. The landscape of of Kentucky was beautiful with rolling hills […]
In October of late year I attended the Belle Lumiere’s all film Workshop. As a photographer, I love to create and challenge myself in growing in my craft. This workshop did that. No digital camera, no real safety net, nothing. I brought my Pentax 645n and my Canon 1v and a lot of film. So […]
Tyler and Abigail are no stranger to the saying “distance makes the heart grown fonder.” Through their journey of college and now Tyler’s career with playing in the minors for the St. Louis Cardinals, they have mastered how to stay connected and make their relationship work. They both have such sweet spirits and know how […]

As a photographer, you are constantly taking photos for other people but sometimes forget to take and share some of your own family! This is my son Levi. He is almost 16 months old and so busy. He loves to run around, explore new things, and he puts everything in his mouth! I am hoping we will grow out of that stage but for now I have eyes on the back of my head and continue to keep a close eye on him as he is always tempted to try and eat everything 🙂
We were just in Oregon for that last 3 weeks and had a wonderful time with family and friends. My husband was out of the country during that same time so we decided to hop a plane and fly back home to Oregon. When we got there, we were greeted with wonderful 70 degree weather (in Dallas, Tx it was still in the 90’s when we left). It felt like fall instantly! Everything from the beautiful leaves turning orange, yellow, and red to the cooler weather; it just felt magical.
During our trip home, we were able to go to a pumpkin patch! This pumpkin patch happened to be one that I went to when I was in 3rd grade with my mom and it was nice to be able to visit it again for the first time since then with my mom and son! Here are a few photos from our day there.
